FRP Counterflow Cooling Towers
Induced draft FRP counterflow cooling towers in square and rectangular modules, factory-built for fast installation and high thermal efficiency in a compact footprint.
See specificationsFor large circulating water systems, our field-erected cooling towers use a pultruded FRP structural frame that will not rot, rust or corrode. Cells are engineered to your duty and site conditions, including wind and seismic loads, and can be laid out in-line or back-to-back. Structural members are prefabricated and marked in our factories, shipped worldwide with complete erection documentation, and assembled on site by our supervisors or your contractor.
Pultruded FRP columns, beams and bracing resist chemical attack, salt-laden air and biological decay, outlasting conventional timber and steel structures.
Structure is designed for the wind, seismic and equipment loads at your site, with calculations and drawings submitted for approval.
In-line or back-to-back cell arrangements with individual fan control allow staged operation and future expansion.
Our in-house design team sizes fill, air flow and distribution for your flow, range, approach and design wet-bulb.
Pressurised spray distribution over film fill for the most compact layout per unit duty.
Gravity distribution basins with easy access, suited to large flows and lower pumping head.
Two rows of cells sharing a common wall to minimise footprint on crowded plots.
| Structure | Pultruded FRP columns, beams and bracing |
|---|---|
| Capacity | Designed to your duty; large multi-cell arrays on request |
| Basin | RCC basin by civil contractor, to our design inputs |
| Fan | Large-diameter axial fans with right-angle gearbox and drive shaft |
| Fill type | PVC film fill; low-clog or splash fill for poor water quality |
| Design | Wind and seismic loads to applicable codes, as specified |
| Erection | Supervision or full erection by our team, on request |
Pultruded FRP does not rot like timber or corrode like steel, even with aggressive water treatment chemicals or coastal air. It is light, strong and dimensionally stable, which reduces long-term maintenance and extends tower life.
Normally the basin is built by your civil contractor to our layout and load data. We can coordinate the interface details, and civil works can be discussed on request.
Circulating water flow, hot and cold water temperatures, design wet-bulb temperature at site, available plot area, water quality and power supply details. If some data is missing, our design team can help you establish it from your process and local climate data.
Yes. We supply cooling towers, spares and service to clients across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Towers are designed for the site climate, broken down into container-friendly modules where possible, export-packed and shipped to any port worldwide with erection drawings and documentation.
Yes. Third-party and client inspection is welcome at our factories in Coimbatore, including material checks, dimensional inspection, fan balancing records and pre-dispatch inspection, as agreed in the inspection and test plan.
We provide erection drawings and manuals with every supply, and our engineers can supervise erection and commissioning in India and overseas on request, or support your local contractor remotely.
