Cooling Towers

Forced Draft Cooling Towers

In a forced draft cooling tower the fan sits at the air inlet near the base and pushes air up through the fill. Mechanical equipment stays out of the warm, wet exhaust air, is easy to reach for maintenance, and the tower can work against duct static pressure for indoor or enclosed locations. We design forced draft towers to your duty with axial or centrifugal fans as the site requires.

Why buyers pick it

Accessible mechanicals

Fans and motors at ground level sit in dry inlet air, simplifying inspection and extending equipment life.

Indoor and ducted installation

Centrifugal fan options handle duct static pressure, allowing towers to be placed inside buildings or plant rooms.

Cold-climate friendly

Fans in the dry inlet stream are less exposed to icing, useful for sites with cold winters.

Corrosion-resistant casing

FRP or galvanised steel casing with stainless fasteners for long, low-maintenance service.

Types and configurations

Axial fan forced draft

Lower power option for outdoor installations with free air inlet.

Centrifugal fan forced draft

Quieter operation and the ability to work against duct pressure for indoor or screened sites.

Closed-loop forced draft

Forced draft arrangement combined with a coil for closed circuit duties.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between forced and induced draft?

Forced draft towers push air in at the base, while induced draft towers pull air out at the top. Forced draft keeps mechanical equipment dry and accessible and can handle ducting; induced draft usually offers lower fan power and less risk of warm air recirculation.

Is recirculation a concern with forced draft towers?

Because exhaust velocity is lower, layout matters. We review your site arrangement and recommend spacing or discharge hoods to minimise recirculation.

What information do you need to quote a cooling tower?

Circulating water flow, hot and cold water temperatures, design wet-bulb temperature at site, available plot area, water quality and power supply details. If some data is missing, our design team can help you establish it from your process and local climate data.

Do you export cooling towers outside India?

Yes. We supply cooling towers, spares and service to clients across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Towers are designed for the site climate, broken down into container-friendly modules where possible, export-packed and shipped to any port worldwide with erection drawings and documentation.

Can our own inspector or a third-party agency inspect the tower?

Yes. Third-party and client inspection is welcome at our factories in Coimbatore, including material checks, dimensional inspection, fan balancing records and pre-dispatch inspection, as agreed in the inspection and test plan.

Do you provide erection and commissioning at site?

We provide erection drawings and manuals with every supply, and our engineers can supervise erection and commissioning in India and overseas on request, or support your local contractor remotely.
