FRP Counterflow Cooling Towers
Induced draft FRP counterflow cooling towers in square and rectangular modules, factory-built for fast installation and high thermal efficiency in a compact footprint.
See specificationsIn a crossflow tower the air travels horizontally through the fill while water falls vertically from open hot-water basins. The result is a tower with low pumping head, very even water distribution and fill that can be inspected and cleaned without dismantling. We build FRP crossflow towers in single and multi-cell layouts, sized by our in-house design team for your flow, temperature range and site conditions.
Open distribution basins with metering nozzles spread water evenly over the fill with no pressurised spray header, lowering pump head and energy use.
Basins, nozzles and fill faces are visible and reachable during operation, making cleaning and inspection quick for site teams.
Reduced pumping head and efficient fan selection keep running costs down over the life of the tower.
FRP casing and basin covers with galvanised or stainless hardware stand up to humid, coastal and chemical environments.
Air enters from one side; suits installations against a wall or building edge.
Air enters from both sides of a central fan plenum for higher capacity per cell.
Several cells sharing a common basin for large process and utility loads.
| Configuration | Induced draft crossflow, single or double flow |
|---|---|
| Capacity | Designed to your duty; multi-cell layouts on request |
| Approach | Typically 4 to 7 °C, depending on site wet-bulb and footprint |
| Distribution | Gravity hot-water basins with metering nozzles and covers |
| Fill type | PVC film or splash fill to suit water quality |
| Drive | Gearbox or belt drive axial fan with TEFC motor |
| Climate | Engineered for hot, humid and desert sites |
Generally yes, for the same duty a crossflow tower has a larger plan area. In return you get lower pumping head and easier maintenance access, which many plants prefer for long-term operation.
Yes. FRP basin covers are supplied as standard to limit algae growth from sunlight and keep debris out of the distribution system.
Circulating water flow, hot and cold water temperatures, design wet-bulb temperature at site, available plot area, water quality and power supply details. If some data is missing, our design team can help you establish it from your process and local climate data.
Yes. We supply cooling towers, spares and service to clients across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Towers are designed for the site climate, broken down into container-friendly modules where possible, export-packed and shipped to any port worldwide with erection drawings and documentation.
Yes. Third-party and client inspection is welcome at our factories in Coimbatore, including material checks, dimensional inspection, fan balancing records and pre-dispatch inspection, as agreed in the inspection and test plan.
We provide erection drawings and manuals with every supply, and our engineers can supervise erection and commissioning in India and overseas on request, or support your local contractor remotely.
